I have been studying Kenyan Sign Language at Horizon Sign Language Training Centre, Nakuru Branch for the past 2 weeks. I came to earn of HSLTC from a poster pinned on our office notice board. I love trying out new things and I thought why not try Kenyan Sign Language.
This far, the experience has been great with Martin Njoroge as my tutor. I have learnt that Sign Language is a language in itself as English, Spanish or French. It has its own culture. I am happy with my decision as learning the language has enabled me to understand and be able to communicate with the Deaf. Plus I have made new friends!
I would like to encourage those interested in learning Sign Language to join HSLTC as it’s the best place to learn how to sign the Kenyan Sign Language way.
